Over 950,000 members have joined
chapters worldwide, since the
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
(NSDAR or DAR) was founded.
We have 3,000 chapters in all 50 states,
including Washington D.C., and globally.
DAR members are
mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, teachers, engineers,
public profile women, librarians, volunteers,
store clerks, nurses, doctors, civil service workers,
women from every walk of life.
They each have one thing in common...an ancestor
that helped win our independence,
in the fight for liberty in the American Revolutionary War.
The NSDAR, was founded on October 11, 1890,
and was incorporated in 1896 by an act of Congress.
